WE’VE WON! JERK KING SCOOPS THE NEW BUSINESS OF THE YEAR RISE AWARD, 2019
As if you didn’t already know, Jerk King’s authentic Caribbean cuisine is taking Bristol’s vibrant street food scene by storm.
On Saturday, November 2nd at the sold-out RISE Awards, headlined by British soul legend Omar, we were honoured to be the New Business of the Year winner.
RISE (Recognising Individuals’ Success & Efforts) is a not-for-profit social enterprise set up in 2013 by Sandra Gordon and Lynn Mareno, both of which host a radio show on station Ujima 98fm, to showcase the visibility of black businesses in the city.
Sandra and Lynn are both successful business owners and run other projects.
